The 7th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air is a production of Olmsted Arts, Inc. - a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 7th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air (October 14-19, 2025). Please complete all contact information and make selections based on your interest and availability. Prior to the event we encourage you to read through pages on the website to become as familiar with the participaing artists, judges, artwork, events/happenings during the week, etc.

Our Exhibition Gallery is located at 2123 East Victory Drive in Savannah 31404 (in the space once occupied the Vendors on Victory). Please always plan for traffic and travel times.

Reporting Hours Worked - We ask all volunteers to report hours worked. It is important to us that we track your impact on the event. It is also important that we include your generous donation of time and talent in our narrative to potential financial donors/supporters.

General Administration - needed in advance and during the event. Days/times flexible. Duties to include creating name tags, maintain a running list of painting sales, keeping up with supplies, phone call/emails, etc. Home based or in gallery/HQ space.

We will contact you to talk specific scheduling and tasks.
Competition Panels Prep and Paint (Sunday, October 12 12:00pm-4:00pm)

We have thirty panels - 4 feet wide and 7 feet tall - to be patched, sanded and painted in preparation of the evening event on April 26. This activity will occur at the Exhibition Gallery, 2123 East Victory Drive, Savannah 31404.
Hang the Show - On Saturday, October 18 the gallery will close at 1:30pm to allow time to hang the competition paintings. A maximum of 60 paintings will need to be hung in preparation for judging and for the awards presentations that evening. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 1:15pm to help with prep work. We begin hanging at 1:30pm and have till 3:30 to complete the task.

Evening Events

Wednesday, October 15 5:45 p.m.-8:45 p.m. Gallery Docent/Sales/Greeter - Artist Welcome Reception is the first opportunity for collectors/afficionados to see and meet the Olmsted Artists 2025. Lite bites, beverages, music.Saturday, October 18 5:15 p.m.-9:15 p.m. Gallery Docent/Sales/Greeter - Artist Awards & Collectors Soiree. Please note: to sign up for this event you must have worked at least two shifts or 8 hours volunteer time prior to this event. Food, beverages, music.
PaintQuick is an outdoor painting frenzy. Artist Check-in begins 3:30pm, artists begin painting at 4:00pm Sales/Crowd Control 5:45pm. The PaintQuick will be held in Ellis Square in downtown Savannah.
