Call for Submissions: Audience Artwork
This November, the SPCO performs Jean Françaix’s Seven Dances after the Ballet “Les malheurs de Sophie” (or "Sophie's Misfortunes"), inspired by the classic French children's book of the same name. The book follows the adventures of Sophie, a young and curious girl known for misbehaving. To highlight the whimsical nature of the dances, we're doing something we've never done before. We're asking you — our audience — to send us your illustrations inspired by "Sophie's Misfortunes" and children's tales of right and wrong, which we will share before, during and after each concert! Submissions are open through Wednesday, October 22. All are welcome to apply in any artistic medium.
Type your name as it should appear alongside your art. Leave blank if you wish to remain anonymous.
