We are Pankow gegen Verdrängung: a tenants’ initiative from Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg that fights against displacement and gentrification. Together with you, we want to advocate for affordable housing for everyone living in Berlin.

What do we want to achieve with this survey:

We want to register spots and conditions of fixed-term furnished apartment offers in our district Pankow. The goal is to use the information to advocate for fair rents for furnished apartments and open-ended leases. (The survey takes about 5-8 minutes.)

What exactly is a fixed-term furnished apartment:

Landlords furnish an apartment (e.g. with a wardrobe, a kitchen, a bed, etc.) and to limit the duration of a tenancy agreement to 2 or 3 or maximum 12 months. Unlike standard ulimited lease agreements, this type of contract has no price restriction, so the landlord can demand any price for rent. You live in a fixed-term furnished apartment?
