  • Judicial Practicum Application - Deadline: October 31, 2025

    Spring 2026 Judicial Practicum applicants: please complete this application form and upload and submit your short essay responses plus resume, cover letter, and transcript. Preference will be given to students in their third or fourth year of study or to students who have one or more law-related courses on their academic transcript. International students are not eligible for this opportunity for Spring 2026. Please email Jenny Judge if you have questions or difficulties with this application at judge@rice.edu.
  • Judicial Practicum Schedule

    PLST 402 has a class component plus required in-person attendance at off-campus sites, either the state or federal courts. Classes run Monday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm. The in-person commitment at the courts is approximately 8 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Please consider travel time in your consideration and planning.
