2025 Restorative Colors of Healing
Restorative Colors of Healing is a community art program hosted by Shaquona Espinoza, centered on Black art, healing, and restoration through painting. This workshop series invites community members of all experience levels to explore painting as a tool for storytelling,reflection, and collective growth. Participants will create individual artworks inspired by their own journeys of healing and transformation, culminating in a community exhibition at the gallery. Location: 359 Kalamazoo Mall Unit 102 Dates: December 6th Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Program Goals
1. Empower Community Voices: Provide a platform for community members to expresstheir stories and experiences through visual art.2. Foster Healing and Restoration: Use the creative process as a form of emotionalwellness, grounding, and self-discovery.3. Celebrate Black Art and Identity: Honor the cultural richness of Black creative traditionsthrough storytelling, color, and collaboration.4. Build Community Connection: Strengthen relationships among artists, participants, andneighbors through shared creation and exhibition.

Photos or artwork may be used on the Black Arts And Cultural Center's social media platforms, website, newsletters, and other program and or promotional material. I am also aware that the Black Arts And Cultural Center is not liable for any potential injury directly related to the session while the child is participating. Parents are responsible for transporting children to and from sessions. Behavior issues will be reported to parents and subject to removal from the program.
