Friends of Finland Youth Exhibition: Nationwide Call for Art (K–12)
Finlandia Foundation National invites youth artists (K–12) from across the country to submit original artwork with a Finnish or Finnish-American theme for consideration in a nationwide exhibition. Selected works will be displayed at the Finlandia Art Gallery, located in the Finnish American Heritage Center, Hancock, Michigan.
Submission Guidelines:
- Each student may submit one piece of artwork for consideration.
- Submit a photo(s) of the artwork via the Jotform below.
- All submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on October 20, 2025.
- There is no entry fee.
The gallery curator will review all submissions and select pieces for inclusion in the exhibition.
Artwork Requirements (for accepted works):
- Must be original, follow the Finnish or Finnish-American theme, and be gallery-presentable.
- Should be ready to hang on the wall with push pins or clips. Matting is preferred but not required.
- No 3D work, laminated work, glass, plastic, or frames.
- Each accepted artwork must include: student’s name, school name and location, title of artwork, grade level, and media.
Selected pieces must arrive at the Finlandia Art Gallery, 435 Quincy Street, Hancock, MI 49930 by November 13, 2025.
- Artwork can be hand-delivered or mailed.
- Artists are responsible for postage to the gallery, and may seek support from their local FFN chapters if available.
- The gallery will cover return shipping.
Exhibition Dates: November 21, 2025 – January 28, 2026
Submissions: All entries must be submitted by filling out the following Jotform. There is no entry fee to submit. One submission per youth.
Artist represents and warrants that he, she, they: (a) is/are the sole creator of the Artwork; (b) is/are the owner of the Artwork and all of the rights under copyright in the Artwork; (c) has full authority to loan an image of the Artwork and grant the rights provided in this Agreement. Artist further represents and warrants that nothing in the Artwork defames any person or entity, infringes any copyright, or otherwise violates the rights of any third party.
