  • A Call for Artwork Submission

The Maple Grove Arts Center opens the gallery to all active artists. We will be considering all types of 2-D and 3-D artwork produced by active artists.

This is an ALL medium show

Anything goes for this show - the subject matter is your choice!
But, your finished artwork before framing MUST be 8"x8" or smaller. For 3-D art, we are looking for small intricate pieces of design.

     Eligibilty

    • All work needs to be juried into the show before bringing to the space. Please use this form and image upload functionality to be considered for the show.
    • Entries must be original work created solely by the artist and not previously exhibited at Maple Grove Art Center (MGAC). Both 2D and 3D artwork will be allowed.
    • All work must be preferably for sale, and preference will be given to those pieces.
    • All work must stay for the duration of the show. All 2-D work must be framed and ready to hang with a wire across the backside. If this is missing, we will decline to hang your work. Our system works better if heavier pieces are wired closer to the top of the artwork. If in doubt, please contact Teri Iverson for clarification.
    • No copies, classwork, food-items, hazardous materials, or fragile work can be accepted.

    Show Dates

The show will run October 21 to November 28, 2025. The opening night reception is Thursday November 6, 2025 (6:30 pm - 8:30 pm) and all artists are encouraged to be present and bring family and friends to the event.

    Fee Structure

    • We encourage you to become an advocate of Maple Grove Arts Center for a fee of $50 per annum. This will entitle you to enter for jury, up to a maximum of three pieces for a $40 show fee, with a sales commission of 25% on any pieces sold during the show duration. This fee covers one, two or three pieces. You can buy your advocacy now online or wait until show payment and pay both fees together.
    • Non-advocates may enter up to 2 pieces for $55 to jury and be subject to a sales commission of 40% on any resulting sale. This fee covers one or two pieces.
    • As stated above we prefer all work to be for sale and preference will be given to those artists if the show is over subscribed.
    • The decision on inclusion of pieces is made by the Gallery Director and is final. Please note, that not all or any of pieces may be selected if the show is oversubscribed or are considered unsuitable.
    • We do not send acceptances or refusals until the application deadline. Please refrain from asking prior to that date.
    • All payments resulting from a sale will be paid by check to the artist by the 15th of the month following the sale.

  • Submission of Work & Drop Offs/Collections

Deadline for artwork pre-approval is October 8, 2025

    • Entry form must be completed, disclaimer read and signed for by the exhibiting artist. All work needs to be juried into the show before bringing to the space.
    • We also prefer that payment is made via our website show information page before drop off. Our volunteers are not always versed in taking payments and may be unaware of your advocacy status.Paying before drop-off saves a lot of volunteer time. If you are unsure what status to choose, please email Lise Spence-Parsons for assistance.
    • We will also require a synopsis of each piece, describing why you created the piece and state how it fits the theme of the show. This will be added to the wall beneath your piece.
    • All pre-approved artwork should be delivered in the period of October 10 to October 18, 2025, to Maple Grove Arts Center. We are staffed by volunteers, so please check our website for open hours in that week. maplegroveartscenter.org
    • All questions should be addressed to Teri Iverson at tiverson@maplegroveartscenter.org  or 612-386-6619. Please do not ask if your work has been accepted prior to the application deadline. You will receive an email of our decision after the deadline.
    • All unsold artwork must be collected from Maple Grove Arts Center within 30 days of show tear down, again please liaise with Teri Iverson and check webpage for open hours. We do not have the space to host artwork indefintely. Pieces that are left longer than 30 days will be considered abandoned and become the property of Maple Grove Arts Center.

We also will have access to an online, from home, method of payment on the same page you found this form. This is the preferred method.

If you are unsure how much you need to pay, please contact Lise Spence-Parsons at lspence-parsons@maplegroveartscenter.org before making a payment

Please complete form in its entirety. Titles should also be marked on the actual item, to help identify the artwork during installation. Masking tape labels, Post It Notes, or small pinned cards attached are some options used by other artists to discern pieces from one another. 2-D Pieces MUST be wired across the back for hanging. Failure will result in the non-hanging of your piece. Our system works better if heavier pieces are wired closer to the top of the artwork. Please mark your artwork clearly.
