I. QUALIFICATIONS
1. The contest is OPEN TO ALL DANCE GROUPS OF REGION 8. This is on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis only.
2. An accomplished ENTRY FORM must be submitted to the Palo Tourism, Culture, Arts and Media Office or sent to the palotourism@gmail.com not later than October 3, 2025, until 5:00 PM only.
3. All competing groups must abide by the Contest Rules and Guidelines herein specified.
II. RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. Only fifteen (15) entries will qualify for the final competition.
2. A group must have a minimum of ten (10) dancers whose ages are 15 to 25.
3. All must perform according to this year’s theme.
4. The performance must include an introductory section that depicts the theme and must follow the main hip-hop dance pattern.
5. Costumes and props must reflect the choreographic concept of the theme or storyline.
6. There will be an orientation on October 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM for all choreographers to be aware of the criteria for judging.
7. All groups are required to attend the drawing of lots and production number rehearsal on October 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Palo Tourism, Culture, Arts, and Media Office.
8. No elimination rounds will be undertaken. The determination of the contestant will be on a first-come, first-served.
9. Each qualified group is expected to use an upbeat dance music that depicts the
Liberation period.
10. The liberation hip hop contest will be held on October 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM.
11. These contest rules and criteria, as well as the prizes, may be changed as
circumstances dictate, subject to proper notice to contestants.
12. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be deemed final and irrevocable.
