PLD Grants for Principal Associations 2026 Logo
  • PLD Grants for Principal Associations

A grant to support principals’ associations with the provision of quality professional development opportunities. Applications close 1 March.
  • PLD GRANTS FOR PRINCIPAL ASSOCIATIONS POLICY

Rationale: In 2017, NZPF took over the running of our National Conference which meant that principals’ associations that had previously been able to benefit from any surplus were now unable to do so. NZPF recognises the need to provide fiscal support for principals' associations from any surplus from the previous years’ NZPF Conference.

    Purposes:

    1. To support principals’ associations with the provision of quality professional development opportunities and support for members.
    2. To distribute surplus funds arising from the annual Conference.

    Guidelines:

Grants will be awarded to organisations within the following regions:

      • Northland
      • Auckland Region
      • Waikato/Thames Valley/King Country
      • Bay of plenty
      • Hawkes Bay Region
      • Taranaki/Whanganui/Manawatu
      • Wellington and Wairarapa
      • Nelson/Marlborough/West Coast
      • Canterbury/Aoraki Region
      • Otago/Southland Region

To ensure equity of access to NZPF conference funds, the Awards Committee will consider:

    • The quality of the application
    • The needs of the association and the benefit to member principals
    • Previous NZPF financial support
    • Financial support from other sources

Applications for grants must be made on the form provided and be received at the NZPF National Office by 1 March.
