    Palestine Solidarity Gathering & Fast

    SPRING 2026 CALL TO ACTION
  • Last semester, more than 80 NYU faculty, staff, students, and friends fasted weekly to express solidarity and draw attention to starvation and food insecurity in Gaza, raised over $6000 for mutual aid groups in Gaza, and contributed to mutual aid efforts in our community.

JOIN US this semester on TUESDAYS for a weekly one-day solidarity gathering and fast, from sunrise to sunset. If you are fasting, we ask that you donate funds not spent on meals to food sovereignty and mutual aid efforts in Palestine (or, if you are a student on a meal plan, donate unused meal swipes to the Community Care Collective). If you cannot fast, we invite you to donate as a sponsor.

NYU community members are welcome to join us in the Bobst Library atrium every Tuesday at 12:30 for community gatherings, and ALL are welcome at sunset for vigils, speak outs, & public events. Follow our instagram @NYU_FSJP for weekly schedule and updates!

  • We understand that, for medical reasons, not everyone can participate in a physical fast (and anyone with underlying health conditions should consult with a doctor before doing so). Other ways to participate include:

    • Sponsor the fast & contribute financially to support urgent food and medical aid in Gaza.
    • Study with us. Attend one of our teach-ins or events.

  • The purpose of this sign up form is to keep count of participants and collect contact information for follow-up communications exclusively about this campaign.
