Costume Contest Registration

Registration Deadline for Costume Contest • 3:15 PM • December 13, 2025
Light it up! Pick your category and deck out yourself, your bike, your helmet, or your whole crew, in full holiday style. Think tricked-out wheels, over-the-top festive helmets, themed music, and costumes that bring on the smiles! Our celebrity judges will be scouting for the most creative and festive looks, all while celebrating the playful, family-friendly spirit that makes Tour de Lights shine. Prizes are on the line, so bring your A-game. The competition gets brighter (and tougher!) every year!

Costume Contest Need-to-Knows:
- Participants must register online by 3:15pm, Saturday, December 13.
- No onsite registrations will be accepted for the Costume Contest. Pre-registration is required.
- Contestants must check in by 4:00pm behind the stage at Mary Costa Plaza and arrive in costume.
- Judging begins at 4:15pm!
- Celebrity judges will evaluate each category, one at a time.
- Winners will be announced post-ride at 7:20pm on the stage, and participants must be present to win.

I acknowledge and understand that there are risks associated with bicycling and other relative activities pertaining to my participation in this event, Tour de Lights 2025, and I voluntarily assume such risk.

I understand that Visit Knoxville recommends the use of a helmet at all times during this event. Kids under age 16 are required to wear a helmet by law. I am solely responsible for my personal health and safety and personal property throughout the entirety of this event. I attest that I am physically fit, healthy, and cognitively able to participate in this event and I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.

I understand that I will be using public streets where there are risks of potential hazards and I am aware that accidents could occur, and I could potentially be injured or injure someone else while riding during this event. I consent to receive medical treatment should an injury, accident, illness and/or any other circumstances occur during the event in which treatment is deemed necessary by qualified medical personnel. I will follow all event rules, regulations, and instructions at all times, as well as all applicable local, state and federal laws.

In consideration of my participation in this event, Tour de Lights 2025: I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue for myself, my heirs and personal representatives Visit Knoxville, Bike Walk Knoxville, City of Knoxville and the respective directors, officers, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and affiliates associated with this event from any and all present or future claims, liabilities, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, death or illness that I or my property may sustain in connection with or arising out of this event.
