  • The City of Lowell invites individuals to submit their favorite photos of Lowell to celebrate our 200th anniversay. Photos will be on display at City Hall from March 2nd, 2026 to March 31st, 2026. Photos may be of contemporary Lowell or from past eras. Photo must feature Lowell or represent a Lowell-based narrative in some way. A selection commitee will choose the two hundred photos for display.  

  • PROJECT DETAILS:

    • Exhibit Space: The 200 Photos for 200 exhibit will be on display on the first floor of Lowell City Hall.
    • Photo Sizes: People can submit anything between a 3" x 5" to 8.5" x 11" for display in the exhibit. 
    • A selection committee comprised of representatives from CASE and the Bicenntennial committee.
    • People do not need to currently reside in Lowell to submit photos but the photos themselves must be of Lowell content.

    PROJECT TIMELINE:

    • Call opens: November 2025
    • Call closes: December 31, 2025
    • Selected individuals notified: January 23, 2026

    WAYS TO SUBMIT APPLICATION:

    • Online - Complete and submit this form.
    • Email - Submit all materials (see below) in a single PDF to case@lowellma.gov 
    • Hand-Delivery - Deliver all materials to the Office of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in room 7 at Lowell City Hall, 375 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01852

    Emailed and hand-delivered applications must include:

    1. Name and contact information
    2. Clear photos
    3. Photo description with how the photographer should be credited
