2025 - 2026 Student of Success Scholarship Application

Our youth are our future! We are excited to announce that State of Success, Inc. has launched its Student of Success scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic school year. The Student of Success scholarship will provide high school seniors with scholarships to invest in their future and use in their pursuit of college or trade school. The beneficiaries of the scholarships will be chosen by an independent committee of three professionals from various fields.

Type: Competition based scholarship

Eligibility: Union County and Wilson County and Charlotte-Mecklenburg County high school seniors in the 2023-2024 academic school year

Application Launch: January 19, 2026

Application Due: March 13, 2026

Finalists Announced: April 2026

Scholarship Winners Announced: May 2026

Upon submission, your application will be reviewed. If there are any questions, the scholarship committee will reach out via your preferred contact method for additional information.

You may choose to reflect on a community challenge, an experience that shaped your understanding of an issue, or work you've done to support a specific group of people. Be specific about your role, your motivation, and the results of your actions.

You can submit a video or essay. Example: Submit a blog, media article, or a short story. Consider the video quality, sound, etc. Video must be submitted in one of the following formats: avi, mov, mpg, or wmv. Essays must be submitted as a .pdf.

Shoot a test video. Make sure your angles are what you want them to be and make sure that there is not anything inappropriate within view of the camera.

Include your name and email address in the video and the essay Verify that the background for the video is suitable Make sure you are in a location with good lighting. Make a plan before you shoot the video. Possibly create a script for your video.

Check your sound quality and make sure you are speaking clearly. Test the timing to make sure you are within the required time limits. Do a timed table read before shooting the video. Proofread the video before posting it. Watch the video in full after it is done to make sure there are not any glitches, awkward moments or other problems.
