Namaste everyone,
I am really pleased that you can join me for yoga.
Before your first class, I wanted to advise you that if you have any health issues or concerns, you should check with your GP/consultant that it is okay for you to practise yoga.
Similarly, if you are pregnant you should inform your GP/midwife that you plan to practise yoga and also let me know.
If you are confident that yoga is appropriate for you, please follow the
guidelines below:
• Avoid eating a large meal the hour leading up to your class.
• Wear clothes that will allow comfortable stretches and deep breathing. Any postures requiring balance should be performed
in bare feet.
• Jewellery that could cause discomfort during the class should
not be worn.
• Remember that your yoga should not feel painful or a struggle.
If anything does feel painful or a struggle, relax and rest,
breathing gently, and then join in again when you can.
