We are looking for the following attributes in our Ambassadors:
1. Diversity and Inclusion - We value all of our customers and want to ensure that our Brand Ambassador group reflects the diversity of our customers. We are committed to creating an environment and culture focused on equality, inclusion, and respect for all people.
2. Photography Skills – This position requires ambassadors to take pictures of their children and/or other family members using our products. Upon entering an agreement to become a Brand Ambassador you will allow us to use all photos shared directly with our staff or posted on our social media platforms for promotional purposes. Due to the fact that we rely heavily on our Ambassadors for promotional images, photography skill is a heavily weighted criterion in our decision.
3. Positivity and friendliness - Candidates exude a positive, uplifting demeanor in our brand managed Facebook Groups, as well as, other popular groups in the industry.
4. Engagement - Candidates are active across multiple social media platforms including groups owned and not owned by Smart Bottoms & bumblito, instagram, tiktok, etc.
5. Location - Through careful social media analysis, we estimate the prospective ambassador's ability to reach and influence parents new to our brands.
6. High Engagement Rate and Following – As a growing brand, we seek applicants who are able to help elevate our brand awareness and product visibility on both Facebook and Instagram. A high engagement rate, coupled with a broad following, leads to a broad reach. Follower count is not the sole criterion.
7. Use of Public Accounts – Smart Bottoms will only onboard parents who are comfortable showing their children’s faces on their public social media accounts. Since an ambassador program is an integral part of our marketing initiatives, it’s crucial that all applicants have a visible, searchable, and public social media presence on Instagram and Facebook.
8. Timing and Need - Our team evaluates the addition of new ambassadors and total number selected based on business and marketing needs.
Additional Expectations of Brand Ambassadors
1. Use of Smart Bottoms and bumblito products – All Brand Ambassadors are required to sign a non-compete agreement that restricts the official representation of other brands with competing products while in the ambassador program.
2. Social media posting - All Brand Ambassadors must actively comment, like, share, and positively engage with others, within our brand managed Facebook Groups. Ambassadors also actively comment, like, and share Smart Bottoms' and bumblito public Facebook pages and Instagram pages to help boost the visibility of posts at a minimum of three (3) times per week.
- WEEKLY ENGAGEMENT with Admin posts on Smarty Pants, The Hive and VIP.
- WEEKLY ENGAGEMENT on Facebook Groups related to our target demographic. A list of suggested groups to follow and participate in will be provided after on-boarding.
- Ambassadors will be asked to participate in other marketing initiatives as directed by Smart Bottoms/bumblito Staff. This may include, but is not limited to, hinting and creating excitement for new releases, promoting featured products, and sharing promotions.
3. Posting and tagging - Regular tagging of Smart Bottoms and bumblito while representing our brands within, but not limited to, cloth diapering, parenting, and retailer social media groups that are outside of the Smart Bottoms and bumblito owned social media groups.
- Tagging Smart Bottoms and Bumblito in your personal profile posts as well as tagging products.
- Accept "Request to feature in shop" when asked.
- Ambassadors are asked to share daily Smart Bottoms & Bumblito social media posts on personal social media - posts,stories,etc.
4. Use of your photos - If you are selected as a Brand Ambassador, you are giving Smart Bottoms and bumblito permission to use your photos for promotional purposes. Our expectation is that our Brand Ambassadors will post pictures of their children, including showing their faces, on both Facebook and Instagram.
- We ask that Ambassadors do not share information or images of new prints or products until given permission from Janel.
- We ask that Ambassadors share new drop information on their personal profiles within one day - before or after - of the release.
5. All ambassadors will be provided a link to a Dropbox folder where they will be expected to upload clear, quality images at a minimum of three (3) times per week. It is understood these images will be used for promotional purposes as described above. Ambassadors will be asked to provide clear, high quality product photos of new and existing products & prints.
- Ambassadors will be asked to share photos and videos for each print release, uploaded to dropbox.
- A minium of 5 clear, clutter free, natural light images per new release product is requested.
- To take clear, focused photos of new products and prints, with the main feature being the products we are promoting.
6. All selected Brand Ambassadors are required to sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement. During an Ambassadors’ term, if they are associated with any other competitive brand’s programs - either representative, associate, ambassador, etc. Examples would be Bamboo, Daywear, Blankets, Headbows, Swim Wear, Diapers ect. please let Janel know.
If, at any time during an Ambassadors’ term, either Smart Bottoms/ Bumblito or the Brand Ambassador member decides to terminate this agreement, termination will be made immediately.
