  • Understanding Chambers of Commerce: Roles, Functions, and Revenue Sources

A chamber of commerce is a non-profit association of businesspeople. Its primary roles are to promote and protect member interests and engage in local and global business advocacy.

Chambers of commerce generate revenue through membership dues and fundraising events. They offer tangible benefits to members, such as networking opportunities, business listings, and advocacy for pro-business policies.

In addition, they exist all around the world and may try to influence or lobby local community leaders to support pro-business stances.
