  • Nuts and Bolts of Democracy: Enrollment

The Roosevelt Society, a project of the Roosevelt Institute, is excited to launch our Fall 2025 Nuts and Bolts of Democracy: Civic Education for Emerging Leaders.
  • What's in it for you?

This virtual training and certification course will demystify how various institutions in the federal government function and help you apply that knowledge to better understand ongoing policy and governance conversations.
  • What are you committing to?

Enrolling is a commitment to complete all four weeks of the program. A certificate of completion will be given to everyone who fulfills the program requirements: watching all recorded trainings, completing the homework reading, and attending all four discussion group sessions.
  • Discussion Group Selection

This program is designed to give you real access to leading policymakers, civil servants, and scholars; it's also designed to help you build relationships among a cohort of peers. With that spirit in mind, participants in this program are required to sign up for one of two discussion groups. All participants are required to commit to all four sessions of either Discussion Group A (Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30pmET) or Discussion Group B (Fridays from 12:00-1:30pmET).
