    “Every mark tells a story.”

Every interaction leaves a mark — an imprint shaping how we think, feel, and act today. These imprints could come from family, friends, figures of authority, or even strangers. Artists and performers also receive imprints from within the scene — both healing and toxic.

This workshop invites participants to explore these imprints and how they influence our well-being and identity. Through expressive arts, we will uncover and give voice to these marks, culminating in personal monologues that transform experience into art, fostering self-discovery, resilience, and connection. A casual showcase and post-discussion will close the 2-day journey. Participants have the option NOT to perform their monologue at the showcase.

Workshop will be conducted in English. Participants are expected to join both days. (Max 10-15 participants)

    Sun 19 Oct 2025 | 5.30pm – 6.30pm
    ADMISSION FREE

This workshop invites anyone — no dance experience needed — to explore the power of movement as a pathway to balance, presence, and connection.

As we move together, shared rhythms and collective exercises open space for connection — with ourselves and with others. The focus is not on learning steps or choreography, but on using movement as a tool to release stress, ease anxiety, and build a sense of belonging. Come as you are, and discover how dance can be a joyful way to ground, connect, and rise.

    Maximum 25 participants.

  • DAY 1: RISK MANAGEMENT FOR ART MAKERS
    Facilitated by Pang Khee Teik
    Sat 25 Oct | 9am – 12.30pm
    RM 50
    Max 25 pax

Perhaps you want to tell your story so others like you know they are not alone. Perhaps you want to make bolder art that challenges society. Perhaps you believe Malaysia can be a better country. But you know these stories carry risk.

This workshop teaches personal risk management: identifying risks, measuring impact, and planning ways to mitigate them. Most importantly, we will learn to clarify our goals — so we are guided by what we wish to achieve, not what makes us anxious. These tools are developed by human rights activists for other activists, which includes any artist who wishes to make a difference.

This workshop is paired with Well-Being Plan the following day. You are encouraged to attend both but you may opt to attend only one.

    Day 2: WELL-BEING PLAN
Facilitated by Pang Khee Teik & Dr. Chua Chee Heng
    Sun 26 Oct 2025 | 9am – 12.30pm
    RM 50
    Max 25 pax

Following the risk management workshop, this session introduces well-being planning. Together with counsellor Dr. Chua Chee Heng, we will learn how to identify stressors and triggers, take supportive steps, and build resilience.

A personal well-being plan helps us prepare for challenges so we can focus on the art we wish to make. It also guides us in cultivating a culture of care within our communities.

This workshop is paired with Risk Management for Art Makers the previous day. You are encouraged to attend both but you may opt to attend only one.
