Designed for those seeking a relaxed yet competitive environment, the competition promotes health, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a genuine love of the game. Prize money will be awarded to the top-performing teams.
  • Nomination Payment

    Once the team nomination has been submitted, The Competition Manager will send the $25 Team Nomination Fee information. Team Nominations will not be accepted until the payment has been received
  • Season Dates

    Round 1 commences 2/11/2025- Round 11 15/03/26. Finals: 22 & 29/03/26
  • Player Registration

    Once the team nomination has been accepted, you will receive a link for the individual players in your team to register. Player registration fees are $60
  • Game Fees

    The Game Fees per team/per game is $100 for the Cortani Cup Division and $90 for Social Teams. Game fees must be paid before the team can take the court.
  • Team Forfeit Policy

    If a team forfeits less than 48 Hours before their scheduled game, then that team will need to pay double the game fee = $200. You must notify the competition manager via email to submit a forfeit. Submitting a team nomination means you agree to the Team Forfeit Policy.
  • Terms & Conditions

    Northern Districts Basketball Association Senior's Competition. Cortani Cup & Division 2 – Terms and Conditions These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Northern Districts Basketball Association (“NDBA”) Cortani Cup (Division 1) and Division 2 Senior Men’s competitions. By registering, attending, or participating in the Competition, all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators agree to abide by the following:1. PARTICIPATION and ELIGIBILITY 1.1 All players must be officially registered with NDBA prior to taking part in any game.1.2 Players must meet all age, gender, and eligibility requirements as set out by NDBA and relevant governing bodies.1.3 NDBA reserves the right to refuse registration or remove participants if eligibility or compliance requirements are not met 2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND MEDIA CONSENT 2.1 Basketball is a physical sport that carries inherent risks, including injury. By participating, players accept all risks associated with training, games, and related activities.2.2 NDBA, its staff, officials, and volunteers will not be held liable for injuries, accidents, illness, or damages sustained during participation, except where required by law.2.3 Players are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate. NDBA strongly recommends a medical check-up before commencing play.2.4 In the event of injury or medical emergency, participants consent to first aid being administered and, if necessary, transportation by ambulance. All related costs are the responsibility of the participant.3. INSURANCE 3.1 Player registration includes coverage under NDBA’s insurance policy.3.2 It is the responsibility of players to familiarise themselves with the level of cover provided. Private health or personal injury insurance is recommended.3.3 NDBA accepts no liability for costs, losses, or expenses not covered by its insurance.4. CODE OF CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOUR 4.1 All participants (players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators) must behave respectfully toward referees, staff, opponents, and venue personnel.4.2 Abuse, threats, harassment, discrimination, violence, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.4.3 Alcohol, illicit drugs, or performance-enhancing substances are strictly prohibited at all Competition venues.4.4 NDBA reserves the right to suspend, fine, or permanently ban individuals or teams for breaches of conduct.4.5 Participants are also bound by Basketball Australia’s Codes of Conduct and Safeguarding Policies 5. PHOTO, VIDEO AND MEDIA USE 5.1 By participating, players consent to NDBA capturing and using photos, videos, and recordings of games and events for promotional, educational, and reporting purposes.5.2 Media may be used in print, digital platforms, social media, livestreams, and promotional materials. 5.3 Players who do not consent must notify NDBA in writing prior to participation 6. FEES, FORFEITS, and REFUNDS 6.1 All registration fees must be paid in full prior to participation.6.2 A team game fee of $100 for The Cortani Cup teams and $90 for Division 2 must be paid before the scheduled game start time each week. Teams who have not paid will not be permitted to take the court.6.3 Teams that forfeit less than 48 hours before their scheduled game will incur a forfeit fee of $180, payable before their next game.6.4 Refunds will only be granted in accordance with NDBA’s Refund Policy (e.g., season-ending injury before Round 1, or approved exceptional circumstances).6.5 Outstanding game fees or forfeit fees may result in suspension, the loss of competition points, or removal from the Competition 7. VENUE AND PROPERTY USE 7.1 All participants must respect venues, equipment, officials, and facility rules.7.2 Any damage caused through negligence, misconduct, or failure to follow venue instructions may result in financial liability and/or suspension.7.3 NDBA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property 8. PRIVACY AND DATA 8.1 Personal information collected by NDBA will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).8.2 Information will only be used for Competition administration, compliance, communication, and insurance purposes.9. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS AND APPREALS 9.1 NDBA reserves the right to investigate breaches of these Terms and Conditions and issue disciplinary action where required.9.2 Disciplinary action may include warnings, fines, suspensions, or expulsion from the Competition.9.3 Appeals may be submitted in writing to the NDBA Committee within seven (7) days of notification.10. Indemnity10.1 By participating, players agree to indemnify and hold harmless NDBA, its officials, volunteers, employees, and affiliates against any claims, demands, liabilities, or expenses arising from their participation, except where prohibited by law.11. AMENDMENTS 11.1 NDBA reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.11.2 Updates will be communicated via email, website, or venue notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of all amendments. By nominating a team, registering and participating in the NDBA Cortani Cup or Senior Men's Division 2 competitions, all players and associated parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
