Eligibility: A 2nd or 3rd year MArch student who has received a HP or P in all previous studio classes, and is familiar with the GSAPP procedures and facilities: Avery Library, digital programs, fabrication shops and studio culture.

Job Description: Core Studio TAs are crucial in implementing and collaborating in the Core II curriculum, which requires a willingness to make a long-term commitment to the growth of the students and the school as a whole. They must be highly energetic and excited to collaborate. The Assistants can gain valuable, critical experience.

Each Core Studio TA will be assigned to an individual studio section and work with students in the design studio, as well as after hours (including providing some time over weekends), approximately 12 hours per week. They will help students via desk crits, tutorials, section workshops, and outside resources, with special attention and care given to basic representation skills. They also will help prepare collective shows and reviews. Furthermore, TAs are there to boost the studio atmosphere, providing general guidance and support. They should document reviews with photographs and notes for the studio. They will work in tandem with critics to further engage with student development and maintain a higher standard of work.

Core Studio TAs will also coordinate with Representation TAs in order to ensure a connection between ADR and studio work, and provide students with access to a greater number of available resources and people.

As a role model for Core II students, Core Studio TAs have the opportunity to interact with new architectural ideas and aid in the development of meaningful conversation and relationships among students at GSAPP.

***Please submit two GSAPP studio critic references and, at the end of the application, a link or attach your portfolio along with your cover letter.
