ESSR Proposal Submission Form
Exercise and Sport Sciences Reviews (ESSR) is an official journal of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
ESSR considers two types of articles. Please select the type of article you are proposing.
*
BRIEF REVIEW: Authors must present a novel hypothesis that is derived from their peer-reviewed publications. Based on our understanding that a hypothesis indicates an expected outcome derived from a model of the involved system, these articles are required to provide a rationale for why a particular outcome can be predicted based on the existing literature. The review should focus on the hypothesis and include a schematic figure that illustrates the hypothesis.
PERSPECTIVE FOR PROGRESS: Senior investigators who are still active in research are invited to provide a synthesis of the current state in a particular field, identify gaps in knowledge, and suggest key questions that need to be addressed to move the field forward.
OTHER (proposal does not match the ESSR article type options). ESSR is an official journal of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). By submitting this form, you agree to the proposal information being shared with the ACSM editorial office, which manages all six of ACSM's scholarly journals. More information about the ACSM journals is available at the ACSM site (https://www.acsm.org/education-resources/journals).
