The Colorado Chautauqua is excited to announce the 6th Annual Bears of Chautauqua project!
We are calling on Front Range artists to decorate 27 (12 Large, 15 small) fiberglass bear statues for a public art installation on the campus of the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark December 12 - April 9. Artists will receive stipends ($250 for large bear, $100 for small bear.) Deadline for submission is October 28th.
The exhibit will be free to the public and debut at WinterFest. Bears will stay on display at Chautauqua through the winter.
The bears will also be part of an online auction ending April 9th. Funds raised will be shared with the artists, The Colorado Chautauqua and non-profit partner.
