Guardian Application-Female
Thank you for your interest in the Guardian Home Program with RVA Doodles. This program allows a select number of families to raise and love one of our high-quality breeding dogs as their personal companion while partnering with us in raising exceptional Goldendoodles and Mini Bernedoodles, and Mountain Doodles. Guardian families play an important role in ensuring our dogs live full, enriched lives inside a home rather than in a kennel environment. The dog is placed with you at no cost, but guardian families are expected to maintain regular grooming, routine veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and pet insurance through Trupanion. You must also commit to socializing the dog, keeping them well behaved in public, and providing a stable lifestyle that supports their future litters. RVA Doodles remains the legal owner of the dog during the guardian period, which typically lasts until the dog is around five years old. After retirement, ownership is transferred to you and the dog is spayed or neutered at our expense, allowing them to live the remainder of their life with you as your permanent pet. If you are selected for the program, you will also sign a guardian home contract that outlines all expectations and responsibilities for both parties. This contract ensures consistent communication, clear boundaries, and the best possible experience for the dog, your family, and our breeding program.

The Process and How It Works When a guardian female is ready to breed, which will typically occur anytime between 18 months and 4 years of age, RVA Doodles will pick her up and transport her to all required veterinary appointments and breeding's. If two breeding's are required, the female will remain with RVA Doodles for up to two days and will be returned to the guardian home after the second breeding is complete. If the breeding is successful, the female will remain pregnant for approximately 60 days. During the pregnancy, RVA Doodles will pick her up for two veterinary appointments. One appointment will be to confirm pregnancy, and the second will be for puppy count imaging. The female will be returned to the guardian home the same day following each appointment. Approximately five days prior to her expected delivery date, the female will come to stay with RVA Doodles. She will remain with RVA Doodles for the duration of whelping and while caring for her puppies, for approximately six weeks. During this time, guardians are welcome to visit the female and her puppies by appointment. As a token of our appreciation, RVA Doodles will provide a payment of $500 when the female is ready to return home at the conclusion of whelping for any pregnancy resulting in four or more puppies. RVA Doodles will always be available to guide you and walk you through the process.
Do you understand the process and agree to work with RVA Doodles during her breeding season? Yes, I agree and willing to work with RVA Doodles to make this a successful process.
No, I don't understand and need more clarification
Do you understand and agree that the guardian program offers significant benefits in return for meeting all program requirements. As a guardian family, you receive one of the top dogs in the RVA Doodles program at no cost to you. Current pricing for a RVA Doodles puppy is several thousand dollars. Full health testing, which includes DNA, hips, cardiac, patella's, and other screenings, averages two thousand dollars. At the end of the guardian period, the spay or neuter procedure is also covered by RVA Doodles and typically costs around one thousand dollars. Altogether, guardian families receive a high value dog with six thousand dollars plus in combined benefits. Because we are providing a high dollar, fully evaluated dog from our program, we expect guardian families to follow all RVA Doodles standards for raising, caring for, and maintaining the dog. This includes health, training, grooming, communication, and lifestyle requirements designed to ensure the dog thrives. RVA Doodles is committed to offering ongoing support, appreciation, respect and clear guidance to every guardian family throughout the entire partnership.
