  • Saint Joseph Academy Visual Arts Scholarship Application Class of 2030

    2026-2027 School Year
  • A limited number of renewable Visual Arts scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded to students who qualify.

    This application must be submitted online and is due by Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.  Portfolio submissions must be received in Saint Joseph Academy's main office by Friday, November 7, 2025 by 4:00 p.m.

    Please review the application thoroughly by reading the PDF version of the scholarship first. Once you start the application process online, you must complete and submit the application; you will not be able to save it and finish it later.

  • Criteria:

    1. Currently have an "A" grade average in Art.
    2. Enroll in a Visual Arts course during the 2026-2027 academic year.  If you are unable to enroll in a class due to scheduling conflicts, you may fulfill the criteria by becoming an active member of Saint Joseph Academy's Art Club.
    3. To be renewed, you must maintain a minimum GPA of a "B" in the enrolled Art course(s).
  • Requirements:

    1. Complete the personal information below(online) and include contact information with your portfolio. 
    2. Ensure your art teacher completes and submits the online recommendation form. Saint Joseph Academy will send a link directly to your teacher once your Art Scholarship Form has been received.
    3. Submit a portfolio of your artwork (see below).  Please make sure you include your full name and contact information (email) on your portfolio.
    4. Complete the Application including the two questions below.
  • Portfolio:

    The portfolio must be submitted by November 7, 2025 to Saint Joseph Academy and meet the following guidelines:

    1. Contain a minimum of seven, to a maximum of ten, examples of recently created artwork (work completed both in and out of class is acceptable).
    2. Contain a variety of media and subject matter (see list below).
    3. The maximum size of submitted art is 18 x 24 inches.  Larger artwork and three dimensional works must be photographed for submission.
    4. All submitted items, including the portfolio container, must bear your name.

    Portfolio work may include, but is not limited to:

    • Observational drawing, perspective drawing, figure/portrait drawing
    • Examples of color, value, line, shape, form, texture, space
    • 3D work (ceramics, sculpture, etc.) - photo submission only
    • Photography and digital art
