The passion for building the finest custom vehicles has been our dream since day one.

For 26 years, we’ve honed our skills and expanded our one-stop shop, and today we see every build not only as a car, but as a connection with the people who trust us with their dreams.

We are pleased to announce that the queue is now open for projects we are most interested in bringing into the shop.

All submissions will be considered with respect to scale, complexity, and Dave Kindig’s interest.

Please note that not all projects or budgets will be accepted.

Please note that submitting this online application does not guarantee placement on our waiting list. Each submission will be carefully reviewed, and projects will be approved or declined at our discretion. It's important that you read through the application thoroughly and complete all required fields. Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.

You will also need to upload photos of your project directly through this form. We encourage you to save a copy of your application for your own records.
Important Information to Know:
- Cost: Project costs vary depending on the scope of work. They may begin around $450,000, with most full builds starting closer to $550,000 and, in some cases, reaching up to $1,000,000 depending on the level of customization and complexity.
- Financing: In-house financing is not available.
- Billing: We work off deposits and bill on a monthly basis.
- Charity Builds: We are unable to take on charity or pro-bono builds.
- Renderings: Design renderings are only offered for full in-house builds.
Application Process:
- Complete the form: Fill out all questions. Upload photos of your project.
- Review by Dave: Your application will be personally reviewed to determine if it's the right fit for our shop.
- Notification: You will be contacted by phone or email within 1-3 weeks regarding your application
- Approval: If approved, you'll receive contracts and a deposit request.
- Next Steps: Once contracts and deposits are received, we'll schedule your design meetings and project start date.
- Relax: Sit back and wait for our call or email when it's time to bring your car in!

Budget
Please note at Kindig-it Design, our standard shop rate is $85 per hour. For specialized services -- including 3D printing, CAD design, machining, mechanical work, and short-term projects -- the rate is $125 per hour. These rates may be updated at the discretion of Kindig-it Design. All parts and materials used during the customizing or restoration process are billed separately on a cost-plus basis.
