    If you want to be featured in next month's edition of the "Good News Gazette," please fill out this form!
  • You may submit responses/work for multiple sections if you'd like. However, priority goes to those who have not previously been featured. By submitting your work, you are agreeing to the guidelines set forth below:

    Submission Guidelines:

    • All submissions must be appropriate for all ages. Submissions may not include: sexually explicit content, nudity, hate speech, graphic depictions of violence, graphic depictions of alcohol/drugs, excessive swearing, personal sensitive information, or medical advice.
    • Any writing, photos, and artwork submitted must be fully created and owned by you. It should not contain any copyrighted material. "The Good News Gazette" and "The Butterfly Guild" does not assume responsibility for any plagarized, stolen, or otherwise misused work that is submitted. All responsibility falls solely on the person who submits the work. 
    • Any AI-generated work is strictly forbidden. Submitting any AI generated pieces will cause you to be banned from future submissions.
    • You will retain ownership of any original work submitted to "The Good News Gazette" and are free to publish or promote your work elsewhere.
    • You are submitting your work of your own free will. There is no compensation, monetarily or otherwise, for submitting to or being featured in "The Good News Gazette." 
    • Submitting work through this form does not guaruntee your work will be featured.

  • You do not have to fill out all of the sections below if you do not want to submit for those sections. Please click the arrow on the right hand side of the section you are interested in submitting for and answer all questions.

    Submissions have a word limit to ensure proper formatting. Any responses that go over the word limit will not be used. 

    • Pet of the Month submissions  
    • Want your pet to make their editorial debut? Want to prove to your friends that your pet is actually the best around? Submit your pet and convince other Guild members that they should vote for your furry friend! 

      All submitted pets will be entered into a poll for Guild members to vote on. The winner of the poll will be featured in next month's "Pet of the Month" spotlight.

    • This section is meant to highlight and celebrate Guild members! Whether it's graduating from college, getting a new pet, seeing an old friend, or accomplishing your PT goals, we want to hear your good news!

    • Creative Spotlight 
    • This section is meant to highlight the creatives in our community and share their work with the world! Whether you're a digital artist, a poet, a fiber artist, an author, a photgrapher, or a painter, feel free to submit your work!

       

    • Visual Artwork Submissions:

      If you are submitting any kind of visual/physical art, please upload the following:

      • 2 clear, well-lit photos of your artwork
      • 1 well-lit headshot of yourself

       

      Written Submissions:

      • 1 PDF file of your writing (250 words or less please)
      • 1 well-lit headshot of yourself

    • Community Advice Column 
    • Need some disability/chronic illness related advice from the community? Here's your chance!

      For the safety of yourself and the community however, any medical questions related to diagnoses, treatments, symptoms, or seeking care are prohibitted because no one is able to assess you and provide medical advice. 

      Examples of acceptable questions:

      • I'm trying to date again but I don't want to deal with inaccessibility awkwardness. Favorite wheelchair friendly date ideas?
      • My family isn't supportive of me using a mobility aid. How do I make them understand how it helps me?
      • My disability is progressing and I don't really know how to cope. Tips to make it less scary?
      • I just got an ostomy and feel like I lost my sense of style. What are some favorite brands/styles?
      • All my tests came back negative and my providers don't know what's going on. How do I cope with the uncertainty of this and constant gaslighting? 
      • I'm planning my first trip to NYC this summer. Any tips for reducing sensory overload in crowded places? Any wheelchair accessible must dos?

       

      Examples of unacceptable questions:

      • All my tests came back negative and my providers don't know what's going on. How do I get them to give me a diagnosis of X?
      • I have X,Y, and Z symptoms. What do you think I could have?
      • My doctor won't write a prescription for a wheelchair. How do I get one?
      • What medications have worked for X condition?
      • What pain relief products do you swear by for X condition?
