    1. The awarding of the The Eta Omicron Alpha Brotherhood Scholarship should be based on need, with consideration given to merit and the moral character of the candidates.
    2. The candidates should be an African-American high school male seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or college student with GPA of 3.0.
    3. The candidate must be accepted to a North Carolina State University (NCSU) or current student at NCSU.
    4. Each candidate must have an on-site or virtual interview with the The Eta Omicron Alpha Brotherhood Scholarship Committee.
    5. All candidates must submit an application for consideration. Each candidate will include an essay on why he should be considered for the scholarship. In addition, the candidate should provide what activities and / or positions they anticipate to be involved in during their college life.
    6. All applications for the scholarship must be received by the Scholarship Committee chairman by the application deadline. Late applications will not be considered.
    7. The Eta Omicron Alpha Brotherhood Scholarship is awarded contingent upon the candidate enrolling in NCSU. Documentation in the form of a transcript or current class schedule must be provided to the scholarship chairman at the beginning of each semester to verify enrollment.
    8. The Academic Scholarship will be awarded to one (1) high school senior each year or one (1) current student at NCSU. If the applicant is a current member of Eta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at NCSU, the award can only be received one (1) time.
    9. The Eta Omicron Alpha Brotherhood Scholarship is a one (1) time award of $1,906 to be provided directly to the student.
    10. Students are allowed to use the funds towards tuition, books, fees, housing, course supplies and other resources to offset the cost of their educational experience.

    What is your current field of study and future career plans? In what area are you in need of assistance (tuition, books, housing, etc.)?

    How will a Gap scholarship help to enhance your college experience?

    What other funding option/sources have you pursued to aid you in your educational endeavors?

    If you are awarded a scholarship, what plans do you have in place to ensure that you will not encounter similar obstacles in the future?

    Include any additional comments that clearly explain your need and merit for this scholarship.
