Colorado Preservation, Inc. (CPI) is proud to announce the launch of a new Workforce Development Track at the 2026 Saving Places Conference, taking place February 11–13, 2026, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Denver – Central Park.
As part of this initiative, CPI will award 10 scholarships to individuals with financial need who are interested in pursuing or advancing careers in historic preservation, preservation trades, cultural heritage, and community revitalization. These scholarships are designed to eliminate barriers to participation and ensure that emerging professionals, students, apprentices, and underrepresented community members can access training, and networking opportunities at the conference.

Applicants must:

Demonstrate financial need.

Show interest in or commitment to careers in historic preservation, preservation trades, cultural heritage, community development, or related fields.

Be available to attend the full in-person conference (February 11–13, 2026).
Agree to complete a post-conference evaluation (by February 20, 2026).
Scholarship Benefits:
- Full or partial coverage of conference registration fees.
- Access to all conference sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities (to include luncheons and tours).
- Overnight lodging at the conference hotel is $149 per night (includes breakfast) and must be booked by January 20. If additional assistance is needed to cover hotel reservations please note this in your scholarship application.
