2026 Ethel H. Robinson Scholarship Application
The Portsmouth Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated affirms its commitment to the community by awarding TWO $1,000 scholarship to a student demonstrating academic excellence that has been accepted into a community college.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must be:
1. A graduating senior from one of the high schools of the designated service area of Portsmouth, Virginia.
2. A graduating senior with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Accepted by and enrolled in a community college; an official document verifying enrollment for the fall semester of 2026 must be provided before the actual scholarship award is disbursed.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES

The applicant will:
1. Submit a completed application form.
2. Submit an essay (250-500 words) explaining your reasons for entering the chosen field of study.
3. Submit one (1) letter of recommendation from the following: One faculty member or one community leader, such as a minister, youth group leader, etc., who knows the applicant well
4. Submit an official high school transcript.
5. Submit an official copy of your senior yearbook picture.
Applications are due by Saturday, February 7, 2026.

The recipient will be recognized at our annual May Week Brunch on May 30, 2026.
