One in a Million - Statement of Intent

Introduction

 

Following the successful launch of One in a Million, we are inviting you to sign a Statement of Intent ahead of joining the Care Leaver Covenant network.

 

At the event, Andrew Forzani, the Government’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

 

"I encourage you all to sign the Care Leaver Covenant if you haven't already. As strategic suppliers to the UK Government, you are in an important position to help make change happen. You, today, can help change the lives of young people at a critical moment in the life and times of our country, and for them. For this, and much more - thank you.”

 

The first step is signing this Statement of Intent, simply indicating that your organisation wants to work towards becoming a member of the Care Leaver Covenant network. We will then work with you to develop a specific  ‘offer’ through which you will connect care leavers with exclusive opportunities in education, work, wellbeing, money and their home.

 

We are planning a special event to celebrate every company which signs a Statement of Intent or joins the network before the end of National Care Leavers Month in November. So, we would be delighted to receive your Statement of Intent by the end of this special month.

Statement

 

1. We, the undersigned, are prepared to offer support to care leavers to connect them to exclusive opportunities.  
    
2. We undertake to develop a specific offer that will connect care leavers with new opportunities in education, work, wellbeing, money and their home.
    
3. We stand ready to promote the Care Leaver Covenant wherever possible.
