Celebrating the gallery's first year serves as an invitation to pause and question the ecosystem we inhabit: where we stand, who we are, and where we’re going. At the end of this first cycle, we propose having a critical conversation about the contemporary art gallery model: its achievements, its limits, and the inherited structures that remain unnamed but that define much of our practice. In this discussion, we propose opening a critical dialogue that ranges from the legacy of figures like Betty Parsons and Leo Castelli to the consolidation of formats like the white cube, exclusivity, and the international fair circuit. These processes and practices have generated unwritten rules that we often assume are inevitable. But what from all of this still works? What no longer serves us? And what could we rebuild differently? The art market, marked by debt and decline, reveals the urgency of rethinking the sustainability of the existing model. How can exclusivity be demanded from artists when even their basic needs are not guaranteed? Why not imagine alliances between galleries and non-exclusive, collaborative, and less hierarchical models?
