🚶♀️ We Walk for Wellness, Mental Health, and Community Connection! 🚶♂️
Join us for our regular walks:
1. Morning Crew Walks
Our Morning Crew will take place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30 a.m. We’ll meet at the top of Philadelphia Street and Bryn Mawr Way, begin with the Philadelphia stairs, and then enjoy a safe walk up Hadley looping back around where we started. Each walk is completed within an hour, covering approximately 2 to 2.5 miles. These intermediate walks are family-friendly and dog-friendly, making them a great way to start the day with intention and support.
2. Monthly Community 5K
On the third Saturday of every month, we’ll host a community stroll through Uptown Whittier. This is a choose-your-adventure walk, allowing participants to decide between taking on the stairs or opting for a stair-free path that’s ideal for beginners, strollers, and easygoing paces. The full route is a 5K (3.1 miles) and typically takes a little over an hour to complete. This walk emphasizes accessibility, flexibility, and shared experience.
3. Monthly Wellness Hike
The fourth Saturday of every month will feature a guided wellness hike. Hike times will vary depending on the location, and as the year progresses, the hikes will gradually become more challenging to support growth and confidence.
Our first hike will be on January 24, starting at Central Park, walking up Beverly to the trail entrance, and completing a total of 5 miles including a canopy-covered trail in Turnbull Canyon.
