Scholarship Application
Scholarships for seminar tuition are available to deserving attorneys actively engaged in the defense of criminal cases who can demonstrate financial need. Scholarship requests must be in writing and state that the applicant is a TCDLA member and has not received a scholarship within the last two years (Trial College does not count as a scholarship). Scholarships are available to public defenders who do not have access to CLE funds.Scholarship applicants must send in the following to be considered: 1) Letter of request; 2) Letter of recommendation from a TCDLA member. Scholarships recipients will receive materials on USB. Course books may be purchased for an additional fee. Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants in order received.

Christine S. Cheng Memorial Asian-American Scholarship to Rusty Duncan Advanced Criminal Law Course ( Up to $1000 for Travel and Hotel) *Applicant must be at least one-half Asian or one-half South Asian
Kelly Pace New Lawyer Scholarship (Tuition & $250 in travel to attend two quarterly events or $500 at Rusty Duncan) *Must be lawyers who have been licensed five years or less
Scrappy Holmes Memorial Indigent Defense Scholarship (Tuition & Travel up to $300) *Must take 70% or court appointments to qualify
Philip Wischkaemper – travel for Tuition and travel up to $300 for Capital Seminar
