• Application for Dance Documentary

  • Film production company Cloud9Media is seeking applicants for a TV dance documentary.

    The documentary will follow the inspiring journey of a young dancer willing to overcome the odds. Selected participants will be mentored by former Royal Ballet dancer Shevelle Dynott and have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the Royal Ballet School at a high-profile international event.

    We are looking for ambitious, capable dancers aged between 10-14 who are up for the challenge to pursue their dreams. Confident enough to speak on camera and embark on this adventure. We encourage dancers from under-represented backgrounds to apply, though applicants from all areas will be considered.

    This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be seen, connect with other young dancers around the world and inspire children to follow their dream.

    The deadline is 29th of October, but applications may close early if we find the right person.

  • We would like to know what dance style you practice. For example, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, folk, or any other. All styles are welcome, and there are no right or wrong answers, we simply want to understand your background and where you feel most at home when dancing.

    Please record in low resolution to ensure video file is not too large to upload.

  • Your personal data and submitted videos will be collected and processed by The Commonwealth Resounds and Cloud9Media solely for the purposes of administering and assessing applications to the Commonwealth Dance Relay and related documentary project.

    Use of Videos will be viewed by the project team and judging panel for selection purposes. They will not be shared publicly without your explicit consent.

    Data Storage: All data will be stored securely in password-protected systems with restricted access.

    Retention: Personal data and video submissions will be retained for a maximum of 90 days after the selection process has concluded. After this period, all videos and personal information will be securely deleted, unless you have provided explicit consent for us to retain your details for future opportunities.

    Your Rights: You have the right to request access to your data, to correct inaccuracies, or to request deletion at any time before the retention period ends.
