Clearances are required for any volunteer over the age of 18. Clearances required include:

1. PA Child Abuse History Clearance

• From: Department of Human Services
• Cost: Free for volunteers

2. PA State Police Criminal Record Check 

• From: Pennsylvania State Police
• Cost: Free for volunteers
• Website: https://epatch.state.pa.us

3. FBI Criminal Background Check (Fingerprinting)- only if volunteer has NOT lived in U.S for the past 10 consecutive years. 

• FBI Background Check Info: https://www.identogo.com/
• Cost: ~$23.85 (only if required)
• If, volunteer HAS lived in U.S. for past 10 consecutive years they may complete and sign a disclosure form. https://www.dhs.pa.gov (second form)

Please complete the attached waiver prior to the first session. Additional paper copies will be provided at the first session but will require parent/guardian to sign as well.
