    Mission Statement

The mission for Kellyville Public Schools Transportation Department is to:
“Provide students with safe and reliable transportation with a commitment to service and excellence.”

We understand it takes the cooperation of everyone for successful, safe and
reliable transportation on the school buses. The key element for this to work is for the driver and the students to work together in all aspects of the service. The number one reason for fatalities and injuries on school buses are driver distractions by students on the bus.

We want to ensure a safe trip each time the bus is moving our students to and
from school or extracurricular activities. Drivers are put through training to address
many different scenarios including student management. To help do your part of this equation please make sure that you are reading through this agreement with the student so they are aware of the rules and the consequences that could happen from not following the rules. We appreciate your help and support for another great school year!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is an issue or you are needing any questions answered.

    Thank you,
    Kellyville Public Schools

  • ADMINISTRATOR

    • A student whose behavior is such that it directly jeopardizes the safe operation of the school bus, or directly challenges the authority of the driver will lose their riding privilege without receiving previous warning.
    • Immediate loss of riding privilege will result from vandalism, fighting, abusive language or gestures directed toward students or school personnel, failure to cooperate with drivers, possession and/or use of drugs, weapons, etc. throwing of or spitting objects or any other actions that jeopardize the safety of student passengers or school personnel.
    • Any disciplinary action taken will be conducted through the students' respective Principal.
  • THE ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION FOR MINOR OFFENSES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

    • 1st offense: Student will be spoken with and placed on probation via a written warning.
    • 2nd offense: Student will forfeit riding privileges for 3 days
    • 3rd offense: Student will forfeit riding privileges for 10 days and must visit with principal for reinstatement
    • Last offense: Termination of bus riding privileges.

Parent contact will always be made if possible, and a Corrective Action Form will be sent home with the student for the parents to sign and return. Students that break probation will lose bus riding privileges.

The disciplinary steps listed are normally followed to correct inappropriate behavior. However, steps may be skipped if the behavior merits a more severe action. The student management program is based primarily on the number of occurrences. When bus riding privileges are removed for the given number of days there will be no flexibility regarding the decision. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
