Welcome! We are now accepting applications for the 2026 inaugural Roots of Ritual: Grief Tending Foundations (Online Training) (Level 1 Dark Woods Grief Tending & Ritual Facilitation Training Certification)

READINESS
At Dark Woods of Grief, we recognize that stepping into Sacred Service is a part of healing from major loss and trauma. That said, this training is appropriate for those who have already done a fair bit of work with their own grief. If you aren't sure, you can still apply and we can discern this together.

This is a professional training and is NOT intended for those who are currently in deep, acute or ongoing traumatic grief. If that is you, please check out our Return from the Underworld Course or our Grief Support Group, both of which are designed to support you through deep, ongoing or acute grief. While we recognize that no one ever stops grieving after a major loss, it is necessary to have a certain level of stability to participate in this training.

JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE
This is a judgement-free zone and what you share will be held compassionately as your sacred story and kept confidential.

I'm really looking forward to hearing from each and every one of you who fill out this application form. Please know that your willingness to be vulnerable is an asset when it comes to this kind of work. This is a judgement-free zone! :)

REFERENCES
As part of the application process, you will also need to submit two letters of reference. These can be from anyone who knows you on a deeper level - ie a therapist, mentor, teacher or close friend. The letter should confirm that this person believes you are a good candidate for this training, and state why they feel you are suited for grief tending & ritual facilitation.
