Please read prior to completing the form:
From the dates below, please select any/all trips you can or would like to attend for 2026. This data will only be used to gauge general interest.
Trip labels & difficulty:
Each trip will be labeled as follows: Trip Name (State Forest) #miles, difficulty rating, notable highlights/features. Listed in order of difficulty from easiest (top) to hardest (bottom). If you like a trip but wish it were on another date listed, use the "OTHER" option to specify. The dates below are the ONLY dates available. THERE ARE (2) LITTLE PINE HOODOO OPTIONS for ruck/hike dates and (2) PA GRAND CANYON OPTIONS - they differ in length & difficulty.
What is a ruck/hike?
These are single-day guided hiking trips. Some hikers attend to just hike, while others might carry a backpacking pack to "ruck" and train for upcoming backpacking trips. It often includes a short instruction before the hike, whether it's a Leave No Trace awareness workshop or How To Pack Your Pack instruction. Rental gear included with registration cost if needed.
What is a backpacking trip?
These are multi-day guided hiking trips. You will carry all your gear (tent, sleeping bag, food, etc) on your back. Camping is typically backcountry / primitive style along the trail, but some trips offer State Park camping along the route. Each backpacking trip includes 1 free ruck day for training purposes.
