You're interested in joining us for our winter showcase? Well, here's some info for you!
I know what you're thinking - a spooky themed cabaret in December? Well, yes! Why not?
Rehearsals for the showcase will be at 2950 Laurel St in Vancouver BC from 2:30-7pm. They will be Nov 23rd, 30th, and Dec 7th. Since there are only three rehearsals, please ensure that you can make all of them. Think of this as an intensive! Tech/Dress will be Dec 12th, and our performances will be Dec 13/14th at 7pm. Venue is TBD.
We will be doing 5 ensemble numbers (which will be listed below) and the rest of the show will be filled with solos and duets of your choosing (musical theatre preferred). Try to make the solos/small group numbers less than 4 minutes and spooky themed! There may be opportunities to help choreograph sections of the ensemble pieces if that excites you.
If you need to help/ideas with choosing a solo, here are some great spooky musicals to choose from!
Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, Carrie, Ride the Cyclone, Beetlejuice, Rocky Horror, Addams Family, Evil Dead, Goosebumps the Musical, Batboy, Young Frankenstein, etc!
Ensemble numbers will be:
-Finale Ultimo (Little Shop)
-Time Warp (Rocky Horror)
-Goosebumps (Goosebumps)
-Hold me, Bat Boy (Batboy)
-Puttin' on the Ritz (Young Frankenstein) *Tap number
The maximum cast size will be 20-25 people so first come, first serve! Bug will send an email with our Discord, which we will be using for scheduling, calltimes, sheet music, etc.
