About the Event
The Three-Sided Debate: Democracy in Africa: Renewal, Retreat, or Reinvention?
📅 October 30, 2025
🕘 6 PM -8 PM EAT
📍 Google Meet
Africa’s democracy is at a turning point. Once full of promise (remember our independence struggles and post 1990s), it now faces public disillusionment, youth uprisings, and calls for reinvention. From protests to digital movements, young Africans are redefining what democracy means: justice, jobs, and dignity. Yet security crises, political instabilty, and unfulfilled expectations of coups and immaturely conducted revolts also linger across multiple countries in Africa.
Join this Three-Sided Debate bringing together voices from conservatives, independents, and progressives to unpack Africa’s democratic crossroads.
