Christ Church Baptism Application
Holy Baptism is the initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body, the Church. In the Episcopal Church, Baptism is the entry rite into the Christian life and is the only requirement for joining in the Holy Eucharist and all other ministries of the Church.

Baptism Preparation
Parents and godparents (if they are available) are required to attend a baptism preparation class. Classes are held in the Chapel at 11 am, immediately following the 10 am service. Child care is available in the Family Room. Please schedule a date with Deacon Susie.
Godparents/Baptismal Sponsors
A godparent is a person who stands as a sponsor (with parents at a child's baptism) to the baptized, and who promises to support the baptized person through prayer, example and action during this new life in Christ. Godparents do not need to be members of Christ Church, or even the Episcopal Church. As long as they are willing to help the newly baptized grow as Christians in the knowledge and love of God, and to fulfill the baptismal vows, they are welcome to serve as godparents.
