  • Items needed:

    • Computer (Mac or PC) with USB port.
    • Micro USB cable that can connect to the computer.
    • Latest UAMV software programmer (the version number should be included in the filename).

    Note: The latest UAMV software is version 1.06

    • Power the UAMV on, and confirm that it boots normally.
    • Navigate to Settings -> Eng. Settings -> Device Stats.
    • Record the version number.

     

  • Mac-specific instructions:

     

    Remove Quarantine:

    • The file is currently quarantined by MacOS security, and will need to be unquarantined.
    • Confirm that the file you downloaded is named "uamv-prog-XXXX.zip", where XXXX is the software version (e.g. 0103 for version 1.03).
    • Move the .zip file from your Downloads folder to your Desktop.
    • Open a Terminal window (Finder -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal).
    • Type "cd Desktop" and hit Enter.
    • Type or copy-paste "xattr -d com.apple.quarantine uamv-prog-XXXX.zip", replacing the XXXX to match the version you downloaded.
    • Press Enter, and confirm that the command runs with no errors.
    • Close the Terminal window.

    Unzip:

    • If the received file was a zipped folder, double-click the .zip file to open and extract it.

    Installation:

    • Confirm that the application called "gprog" was extracted.
    • Double-click on the app and confirm that it opens.
    • Confirm that window title matches the most recent software version number.

    • Connect the UAMV to the computer using a Micro USB cable.
    • Confirm that the programmer recognizes the UAMV, then power the UAMV on.
    • The programmer will automatically start to program the boards, on after another.
    • Once the programming is complete, click "Close" and disconnect the UAMV.

     

  • Windows-specific instructions:

     

    Unzip:

    • Double-click the .zip file named "UAMV-X.XX-Windows", where X.XX is the software version (e.g. 1.04).
    • Confirm that the files are opened and extracted.

    Installation:

    • Double-click on the extracted application file "UAMV-X.XX-Windows".
    • If Windows prevents the application from being run, override the protection (eg. click "More info" -> "Run anyway").
    • Confirm that the application opens and runs.

    • Confirm that window title matches the most recent software version number.
    • Connect the UAMV to the computer using a Micro USB cable.
    • Confirm that the programmer recognizes the UAMV, then power the UAMV on.
    • The programmer will automatically start to program the boards, on after another.
    • Once the programming is complete, click "Close" and disconnect the UAMV.
    • Confirm that the UAMV is on and has booted normally, then remove the USB cable.
    • Navigate to Settings -> Eng. Settings -> Device Stats and confirm that the displayed Software Version matches the installed version.
    • Calibrate the zero offsets and patient flow sensor, then perform the pre-use checklist before returning the UAMV to use.
  • DO NOT SUBMIT UNLESS THE UPDATE WAS SUCCESSFUL
