  • OLA Fund Development Committee Background

    The Fund Development Committee is a newly organized committee which is intended to be a hands on group of people who can assist with the planning of a Fund Development Program, as well as participate in any recommendations made.

    • OLA currently invests in GICs only. This is up for discussion.
    • The Charitable Giving program is passive, with little happening other than a few staff payroll donations and some CanadaHelps regular contributors. There are no campaigns. A formal program will be established this year.
    • Funding opportunities for the OLA are predominant member driven revenues (e.g. membership, conferences). We hope to expand this or at least to make new programs to take the burden off Super Conference as the primary revenue.
    • 2026 is the 125th anniversary of the OLA, so there are opportunities this year that may not be present in future years.

    If you believe you have charitable, financial, or major campaign financial acumen to bring to the committee, we ask you to complete this application. The following questions and your responses will support the Board in making appointments to the Fund Development Committee.

    Applications Close November 19, 2025. Appointments will be announced in December following the Board ratification.
