    Presented by the Brampton Arts Organization (BAO), the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD), and Brampton Library (BL), the Writer in Residence Program (WiR) provides a fee of $3,000 and free, dedicated workspace to professional adult fiction writers to undertake an eight week residency at  Mount Pleasant Village Library Branch (100 Commuter Dr, Brampton, ON L7A 0G2), from March 2 to April 25 2026.

    The program requires approximately 10 hours per week for creating and delivering three (3) engaging programs and workshops, and one-on-one appointments from the general public to review written work. The remaining time is available for the WiR to work on their own writing project.

    Information Session: November 21, 2025 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. This information session will take place online via Zoom. Please register here. The session will be recorded.
