Volta Coach Training Program Application

Volta Coach Training Program Application

Thank you for considering the Volta Coach Training (VCT) program! VCT is the only coach-training program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) designed specifically to equip participants with the skills to coach lawyers. Every year, our faculty is inspired as they observe unbreakable bonds forged by participants as they – together – co-create “new ways of being and doing,” and unlock the power of coaching. Designed to teach participants how to deploy practical coaching tools that support client growth, VCT is an active learning journey that students describe as transformative. Since launching the program in 2019, VCT has graduated 100+ lawyer coaches. We appreciate your interest in VCT, and we are excited to learn more about you through this application process. Welcome to our community.

    Information About the VCT Program

Volta Coach Training (VCT) is a Level 1, International Coaching Federation- (ICF-) accredited program. Delivered in a condensed format with a focus on teaching practical skills, the VCT curriculum promises the confidence and ability to begin coaching right away.

As a Level 1 program, the program provides 60+ hours of training, 10+ hours of mentor coaching, weekly coaching practice and dynamic lawyer-specific content, ensuring graduates have everything (besides requisite post-certification coaching hours) needed to apply for the ACC credential from the ICF.

To optimize learning in a cohesive and supportive environment, we prefer participants to be sponsored by their employer (law firms, law schools, non-profits, or in-house legal departments), anticipating that coaching skills are leveraged as part of their job description.

Please note that Day 1 and Day 2 of the program will take place, in-person, in New York on February 9th and 10th. If you are unavailable to attend the program in-person these days, please communicate this in the appropriate field of the application (Question 9). While not confirmed, it is likely that Day 5 will occur, in person, in New York in late June or early July (to be finalized shortly).

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, and we are limiting this cohort to 20 participants. We will close all submissions (if seats aren’t already filled) by Friday, January 9, 2025.
