NYJC Summer Programme 2026 Application Form

This form has two sections.

In the first section you select which summer programme course (Improvisers' Summer School or Vocal Jazz Camp) you're applying for and then book an audition day.

If you're applying for more than one course, please submit an additional application form.

Once you've chosen a location and date by ticking the relevant box, and submit your form, a slot will be reserved for you. You'll recieve an email to confirm that your application has been received.

We'll be writing to you to confirm your audition time as soon as possible after the application closing date on 8th March 2026.

If an audition location is full please contact our Programme Manager, Maia at maia@nyjc.co.uk and we'll see what we can do.

In the second section we ask details about you and your musical background. This helps our Artistic Director shape the programme according to the participants' keen interests and needs.

We'll also ask you to provide the name and contact details of a referee.

NYJC Summer Programme Application Timeline:

• Applications close on Sunday 8th March 2026.
• We'll confirm your audition time by Wednesday 18th March 2026. 
• After auditioning, we'll let you know if you have a place on this year's Summer Programme by Wednesday 6th May 2026.

This form will take you approximately 20 minutes. It helps us get to know you a bit before we meet.

If you'd like to save your application form and come back to it at a later point, please click the 'Save' button (located at the end of each page). Please note that saving your application whilst it is in progress does not guarantee an audition slot. To reserve an audition slot you need to submit the form.

Data Protection
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, you are informed that part or all of the information you give us will be held on computer and used for statistical purposes. We are happy to provide you with copies of the information we hold about you.

Auditions for the National Youth Jazz Collective are all free.

We can offer bursaries to cover all or part of the costs of:

• Travel to and from auditions
• The course fee
• Travel to and from the course
• If you’re under 16, we can cover the travel costs of a chaperone

We have a sliding scale bursary scheme, so even if you don’t qualify for a full bursary, we may be able to help with a partial one.

All applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

We want to make sure your time with us is as comfortable as possible, please complete the information below to let us know of any medical and/or access needs.

NYJC'S core funders all ask us for data to show the impact of their investment so it would be really helpful if you could provide us with the following requested data - much of which uses categories as specified by our funders reporting templates - so we can report back to our artistic management, board and core funders at the end of each financial year.

This monitoring data will be anonymised and separated out from your application.
