    This scholarship program was established to support the bright futures of Bronx youth by providing financial assistance to help them pursue their academic goals. Recognizing the unique challenges many young people face in underserved communities, the scholarship aims to empower students by removing financial barriers and fostering opportunities for higher education. It is our belief that investing in the potential of Bronx youth will not only uplift individuals but also strengthen the entire community.     • NOTE TO RECOMMENDER 
    • DEADLINE DATE: All application materials must be completed and uploaded with all the necessary criteria by: Friday, February 13th, 2026. Failure to upload recommendation letters by the deadline will result in disqualification of the applicant.     • INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECOMMENDER 
    • To Whom It May Concern:

      The prospective applicant has selected you to write a recommendation letter for them.

      They are applying for the Bronx Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. 2026 Scholarship. Here are the guidelines in providing a letter of recommendation for the applicant:

      Recommendation letter MUST:

      A. Be addressed to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Bronx Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Committee.

      B. Be on official school or organization letterhead.

      C. State the applicant's name, relationship to the applicant, and length of time the recommender has known the applicant.

      D. Speak to the applicant’s character, education, service, level of commitment, and any other pertinent information the committee should consider.

      E. SIGN their name (wet signature) then scan and upload the recommendation.

      F. Be submitted electronically on the student's behalf by the specified deadline to prevent disqualification.

      All Applications must be completed and uploaded with all the necessary materials by: Friday, February 13th, 2026.
