    • To Whom It May Concern:

      The prospective applicant has selected you to write a recommendation letter for them.

      They are applying for the Bronx Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. 2026 Scholarship. Here are the guidelines in providing a letter of recommendation for the applicant:

      Recommendation letter MUST:

      A. Be on official school or organization letterhead.

      B. State the recommender’s name, relationship to the applicant, and length of time he/she has known the applicant.

      C. Be addressed to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Bronx Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Committee.

      D. Speak to the applicant’s character, education, service, level of commitment, and any other pertinent information the committee should consider.

      E. SIGN their name (wet signature) then scan and upload the recommendation.

      F. Be submitted electronically on the student's behalf by the specified deadline to prevent disqualification.

      3/2/26 - 3/6/26: Notifications for invitations to the 2nd round.

      3/16/26 - 3/20/26: 2nd round interviews are conducted via Zoom.

      Week of 4/6/26: Scholarship Winner and Grant Awardees are notified.

      4/23/26: Scholarship and Grant Ceremony (All Awardees invited to attend)

      5/3/26: 2026 Scholarship Luncheon (Scholarship Awardee will be invited to attend)
