    Apply for the 4th Cohort of the Climate Corps Fellowship for young women and girls in Uganda.
  • Girls For Climate Action(G4CA) runs a Climate Corps Fellowship annually in a bid to strengthen the capacities of young women and girls in Climate Leadership, Natural Resource Governance and Policy to meaningfully engage in decision making processes on climate change and gender intersections.

    The Climate Corps Fellowship is a fully funded fellowship that runs for six months with a one week residential training, one month of virtual sessions and three months of mentorship with highly experienced professionals in the climate space.

    This presents an opportunity for young women and girls to engage with experts, participate and network with like-minded individuals in the Climate Activism space, key policy decision making and advocacy spaces at different levels. 

    To be Eligible, You must be: 

    1. Below 30 years on time of application. 
    2. Live and work in Uganda.  
    3. Advocate for climate justice. Preference will be given to those who are interested or are experienced in advocating for climate justice. 
    4. The fellowship is open to those who identify as girls or young women. 
    5. Having at least 2 years in advocating for climate justice or having experience in climate justice work. 
    6. Self-driven and committed to working on their individual projects.
    7. Uphold the values of the movement which include: ( Sisterhood & Solidarity, Diversity & Inclusion, Accountability, Stewardship and Care).

    Why take part in this fellowship: 

    1. Engage and network with Climate Activists and Policy Makers at different levels
    2. Enhance your skills in gender-responsive solutions,eco-feminism and advocacy
    3. Implement a community project to solve an environmental issue in your community
    4. Go through a six months mentorship program to enhance your skills in feminist climate leadership and policy. 
    5. Challenge systems and policies that perpetuate climate and environmental justice for women and girls. 

    Timelines: 

    All applicants successful applicants will receive feedback by 13 November, 2025 to prepare for the fellowship.

    The residential training will run from 1st - 6th December, 2025. Apply only if you can be present for this time.
