MedFest is more than a physical; it is a partnership in health!
MedFest gives Special Olympics athletes the chance to receive a high-quality medical exam while helping medical students and professionals gain valuable experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
This event is not only about receiving a health screening, it’s about empowering athletes, families, and providers alike. Medical students and healthcare professionals learn firsthand how to better support inclusive care, while athletes benefit from meaningful, person-centered health interactions that can improve their care beyond the games.
After signing up for an appointment time, please fill out a medical history form. A medical history form will be emailed to you the week of November 30th. The Medical History Form will be REQUIRED to be seen at your appointment.
Appointments will take about 30 minutes, and we will see 2 athletes at a time. Appointments will occur every 30 minutes from 10 AM - 11:30 AM (the last appointment available starts at 11:30 AM) and then we will re-open at 1 PM - 2:30 PM (the last appointment available starts at 2:30 PM).
